Frequently Asked Questions

What time should I expect delivery?

You can choose from two delivery time slots: 10am-3pm and 4pm-10pm Monday-Friday (no deliveries on weekends)

Can I track my delivery?

Yes! You will receive a live tracking link on your smartphone when your order is out for delivery. If you do not have a smart phone you will receive this link via the email you provided.

Are there delivery fees?

Order minimum for delivery is $29.99. Orders between $29.99-$99.99 have a $6.99 delivery fee. Orders over $100 have no delivery charge. You can visit our delivery rates page here for more details. There are zero hidden fees, service charges, etc.

How do refunds work?

We reserve refunds for issues that are preventable on our end (i.e. product with physical damage, such as: bruising, mold, or cuts). We test all of our products and we never intentionally sell an inferior tasting product. If you have issues with the taste of a product do not hesitate to contact us so we can resolve the matter in another way.

Can I order multiple times a week?

You can order as many times as you want. We also offer the option for you to place multiple orders and have it all delivered on one day. Maybe you can't hit the minimum but want to reserve some fruits, then add more later. Please visit our Combining Orders page for detail.

Where do you source from?

Muddy Crops sources the majority of its products direct from farms in Niagara. We also work with farms in Hamilton, New Hamburg, Markham, and Cookstown. Furthermore, we are proud to say that none of our products are sourced from the Ontario Food Terminal.

Fruter imports tropical & exotic fruits from South America, Australia, and Southeast Asia.

Why Fruter & Muddy Crops?

The real question to ask is “what kind of food do you want going in your body?” If you want quality organic, tree-ripened, sustainable and regenerative produce sourced from local and USDA Approved farms, then we’re the people for you. We believe food lovers want to know where their food is coming from and we do our best in an online world to share that honesty and service with our customers.

When will my order arrive?

We offer 1-2 day delivery on all orders 5 days a week. Order cut off is 7am for same day delivery. You will receive live updates on your phone regarding delivery status, timing and completion.

Do we offer in-store shopping?

We do not offer in store shopping.

Is everything Organic?

Contrary to popular belief, being organic is not just about pesticides. Organic farming was originally defined as a "biodiverse, self-sustaining system that served the local community."

In a nutshell, the term "organic" really stands for a holistic system of farming. This means growing healthy food starting with healthy soil - and furthermore continuing to keep that soil healthy for future farming generations. That's why, while some of our produce isn't Certified Organic, we know that all of our farms naturally embrace these principles.

Do I need to be home to receive my order?

Whether your order is a home delivery, hotel delivery, or restaurant delivery, someone does not have to be home, but we recommend someone is. We cannot guarantee the quality remains the same if sitting out for hours. Deliveries generally arrive between 12pm-7pm.

Where do you deliver?

We currently only service Southern Ontario. You can see our delivery zones here. If you are outside our delivery zone, or outside the province, don't hesitate to contact us. We may be able to ship select products.

At checkout I received an error message reading "some items cannot be shipped to your address."

This means one of three things: you are outside of our delivery zone; you are below the minimum requirement for delivery; or an item in your cart is no longer in stock. If you are in our delivery zone and you are above the minimum for delivery then please email us!
