About Fruter

A Fruter in South America is someone who sells you fruit. Similar to a butcher, or baker, they are passionate individuals who source the best quality fruits for you.

With this in mind we wanted to bring the love and care a Fruter has for fruits online. At Fruter, we deliver premium tree-ripe fruit to homes, restaurants, hotels and small grocers in Southern Ontario. We work closely with local farmers and farmers abroad to pick #1 grade fruits, vegetables and edible flowers.

How Our Sourcing Works

Sourcing Abroad

Our fruit is always ripened on the tree/vine, which is why getting it here as quickly as possible is our top priority. The fresher the fruit, the more nutritious the fruit.

Sourcing Locally

With local farms only an hour away from our warehouse we are able to drive in fresh fruits and vegetables within 0-2 days of being picked. The only difference between that and picking the fruit yourself is you can sleep in.

Our Fruit is Different.

Doing things different is always weird, until it isn't. When we decide to have fruit ripened on a tree instead of the back of a truck; that's different, not weird. Having special ripening facilities so the fruit is always perfect and ready to eat is also different. Spending hours photographing, measuring, weighing and talking about the fruit is different. Obsessing over fruit to a point that it's all you talk about is weird. But we do that too.
