Tree Ripened x Air Flown

Intensely sweet, playfully sour, and distinctly tropical - the fresh pulp of the cacao fruit tastes something like citrus, mango, or lychee. Once you suck all that creamy pulp off you will find the cacao inside. Cacao is the raw, unprocessed version of cocoa. It's bitter, with hints of dark chocolate but eating the pulp with the seeds balances it out giving it a sweet and bitter, fruity chocolate taste.

The seeds pack a lot of flavour and so each fruit goes a long way. However, if raw cacao isn't your cup of tea, go ahead and make homemade chocolate. I've been eating one as I type this and honestly, I can't get enough.

One way to tell if the fruit is ripe is by shaking it. When unripe the beans are attached to the inner husk. When ripe you will hear the beans shaking around. Or if the fruit has no green on the pod then you will also know it's ready to eat.

Tree/Vine Ripened & By Air means this fruit reached optimal time on the tree and/or vine before being flown over, rather than shipped on a boat. Our fruit arrives within 3-4 days of being picked, as opposed to 14-21 days by boat. 

Return Policy

To be eligible for a return contact us within 48 hours of receiving your delivery.  Your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, and in its original packaging.

Please note that any products on sale are not eligible for returns. If you receive unusable product please contact us for a store credit.

Depending on the product; how it was stored and the condition it is in after 48 hours we can still offer refunds or store credits on a case to case basis.
