Chunjian mandarins have a puffy skin that comes pretty well separated from the flesh, making these types of mandarins the easiest to peel. It's not like some other citrus where it feels like you're peeling 19th century wallpaper off your wall, only to find more wallpaper underneath. It's more like that satisfaction you get from peeling a rim sticker off a new hat.
These mandarins have a great flavour, but aren't as juicy as some others, making them a great option for consumption in any place where you can't immediately wash your hands after.
